Last Saturday I had the honor of leading the Empower HER Tribe as we joined thousands of women in Washington, DC and millions around the globe to march in support in women’s rights which are being threatened by the new administration. As official Partners of the Women’s March on Washington, we were well aware of the goals of the organizers to reach as many women as possible. However, it doesn’t appear than anyone anticipated an outcome of this magnitude. Read about my experience here.
After Jay Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Madonna and a few other big name artists launched music/video service Tidal by signing ownership documents at a press conference on earlier this week, Jay Z is responding to criticism of the new app. Naysayers are claiming that the artists are just trying to get richer by charging as much as $19.99 a month to consumers for the service. Yesterday Mr. Carter, along with Tidal executive Vania Schlogel, participated in a Q&A at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music to discuss all things Tidal. They addressed a lot of the questions consumers had. When discussing the costs of the service, Jay made it clear that people are nitpicking in his view. “Nobody’s ever said, “Oh, the rich getting richer!
