It’s been about a year since the mistress of former NBA exec Donald Sterling, V. Stiviano, released recordings of his racially charged rants that cost him ownership of the LA Clippers basketball team. Donald wasn’t the only one pissed at Stiviano after last April’s media circus. His wife, Shelly Sterling, filed a lawsuit against Stiviano claiming that the money her husband used to wine and dine her was community property from their marriage and therefore everything should be returned.
Shelly Sterling looks to be getting exactly what she asked for after the Judge ruled in her favor on Tuesday, ordering Stiviano to pay her a whooping $2.6 Million by surrendering the $1.8 million duplex and numerous luxury cars Donald purchased for her and returning over $800,000 in cash he gifted to her during the affair. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and according to her attorney, Shelly is pleased with the outcome.
“Shelly is thrilled with the decision,” attorney Pierce O’Donnell said. “This is certainly a victory for the Sterling family whose funds were dissipated by Donald to lavish millions of dollars of gifts on a conniving mistress.”
Stiviano’s lawyers have fifteen days to object the judge’s ruling or it will become final. Side chicks beware! Wives are no longer sitting around crying over their husband’s infidelities. They are playing hardball. You have been warned.
