I’m sure that most of you who will be tuning in to Nelly’s new reality show will be doing so for the shirtless moments that are sure to take place, but according to Nelly the show will showcase more parenting than pecks.
“I’m doing a reality show, more or less, because I feel, at this point, what we don’t see is single fathers that are doing what they’re supposed to do, that are raising their kids the right way,” he said.
“I am a rapper, but I love my kids genuinely. I have four beautiful kids: two that’s mine, two that were my sisters when she passed in ’05 and I took her two,” he explained to HipHollywood.com. “It’s something that’s not being show on television, and I wanted to be the first one to get the chance to say, ‘Yo. There are fathers out here. We’re handling our business.’ I think we get a bad rap on that. So, hopefully we can change some things around.”
Nellyville which will be based on Nelly’s family life including his girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, will premiere on November 25th on BET.
