Michael B. Jordan had a breakout year in 2013 and it looks like he’s not stopping anytime soon. How he makes times to still give back is a mystery. But as they say, to whom much is given, much is required. As a part of his role as an ambassador and mentor for Sprite Films, Michael will meet and offer advice to the finalists in Sprite’s National Film Competition. With a career spanning over twelve years (a lot of which were during his teenage years), he seems like a perfect fit
for the program.
“What’s a dream without action or a talent without a stage to set it free?” said Jordan. “Each year Sprite Films finds student filmmakers who have it — the fearlessness and dedication to pursue their passion for film — and supports them to grow their dreams on a national platform. I’m lending my support by meeting with the student finalists to share my story as an actor and what I have learned from my mentors.”
The films from the six finalists can be viewed and voted on by the public through May 15th at Sprite.com/Films. A group of film industry experts, including Michael, will crown the Green Ribbon Panel winner. The opportunity to work on a Sprite brand project with an agency affiliated with The Coca-Cola Company will be awarded to the winner.
It’s great to see young Hollywood reaching back to pull others forward. Kudos to Michael B. Jordan!
