So when celebs act like they can’t make a move outside of the public eye are they exaggerating? Because J. Cole managed to get married without anyone knowing for months. The rapper was outed by director Ryan Coogler at yesterday’s #MLKNOW event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During their onstage chat, Coogler asked Cole how married life changed him. Cole, shocked, realized that the cat was indeed out of the bag. Watch their exchange below.
Rumor has it that Cole proposed to his college sweetheart, Melissa Heholt, early last year after 10 years of dating. They reportedly tied the knot a few months ago.
This proves that celebs can have privacy IF THEY REALLY WANT TO. If Ryan hadn’t spilled the beans, we still wouldn’t know. Even Beyonce and Jay Z, two of the biggest, most visible entertainers on the planet got married without any evidence hitting the media until they decided to show footage of their nuptials during their “On the Run” tour in 2014. Yes, the media can be insane when it comes to their stalkish behavior, but some celebs who cry that they don’t have privacy are exaggerating and quite to the contrary, go overboard to seek the limelight at every turn. Anywho, congrats to Cole and Melissa! And my condolences to all the girls/women around the world with broken hearts now that Cole is officially off the market lol.
