From motherhood to pursuing the passions we always dreamed about, women CAN indeed have it all. But being a fierce well-rounded womanpreneur takes work. Que the balancing act lol. I’m a wife, mom and business owner. Sometimes I don’t have the time I’d like to transition smoothly from one role to another. Ideally, I would love to head home after a day of work before heading to a date night with the hubbs but that isn’t always possible. Being able to lose the suit jacket and tweak makeup in the car is essential for boss ladys on the go. Experienced make-up artist, Ashley Naomi of Ashley N. Artistry, came through with some tips to help us make the switch from day to night in no time.
“Create a simple yet classy beauty look for the day using neutral colors on the lips and eyes (soft pinks, tans, and browns as your palette). Using soft, neutral tones can serve as a base for your evening shadow color. This allows for an easier transition, so you don’t have to remove your entire day look.”
- Play Up Your Eyeshadow: Add some drama to your eyes and have a little fun by using shimmer shadows. You can also create a smokey eye and remember smokey eyes can be created with browns, purples, blues, and more!
*Golds paired with a red or dark plum lip color is a favorite of mine to transition to for my night looks.
- Step Up Your Lash Game: Intensify the eyes by adding strip lashes or dark mascara.
- Flustered: Nights looks are bold and fun, so add color to your look by adding blush and highlighter to the cheeks.
- Go Bold Lip Change: Create a statement lip using reds and plums to top off the classy, glam look.
